Pochettino picks out the most pleasing aspect of Tottenham’s win

Mauricio Pochettino was pleased with “the attitude” of his Tottenham side as they beat Huddersfield Town 2-0 on the road.

Harry Kane headed in a Kieran Trippier cross before converting a penalty to grab a brace and all three points in Yorkshire.

“Very good win, very pleased,” Pochettino told BBC Sport. “The attitude was fantastic. It was a tough game against a team desperate to win. They were helped by their unbelievable fans, among the best I have found in England. Which is why we are so pleased to have three more points in the table today.

“We are in the Premier League, it is tough, physical. Teams like Huddersfield are difficult to play. I think it is a normal the actions that happened today.

“I think the game was difficult from the beginning. We knew coming here they were an aggressive team, desperate to win as they haven’t started so well. They have very good players, with the atmosphere and the manager they will bounce back.

“Today after 45 minute made a few changes. We need to assess in the next few days but football is about the squad.Today it was fantastic to see Harry Winks and Victor [Wanyama], playing 45 minutes and giving their best. It is important all the players feel that they are important.”
