The Premier League match between West Ham and Manchester United was, as expected, a very dreary affair, with very few chances for either side.

The undoubted highlight of the Premier League encounter was Mark Noble taking on Paul Pogba very late in the game.

Mark Noble came to blows following a late challenge from the French midfielder.

Noble acted incredibly angrily by barging into Pogba and then grabbing his head, which according to Twitter should earn the West Ham captain a lengthy suspension.

Jose Mourinho jokes about Mark Noble vs Paul Pogba
In his post-match presser, of course Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was asked about the battle between Noble and Pogba.

Mourinho jokingly said: “I was watching the images and Paul and Noble looked in love,” Mourinho laughed. “Hugs and kisses and changing shirts, was good, was competitive. We needed points to finish second, they don’t win anything because they did the job last match at Leicester but they play to win and the changes David made was try to do that.

The Manchester United manager continued: “And [referee Jon] Moss was there and he resolved the problem in a good way, because the game was quite intense but correct. I was very far from it and when I saw the reaction of the players [at full-time] I believe it was nothing extraordinary.”

Jose Mourinho reveals which Man United players will face Watford
Perhaps more intriguing is what Jose Mourinho had to say about Manchester United’s final game versus Watford.

With the FA Cup final coming up against Chelsea, Mourinho is set to rotate heavily on Sunday.

First off, Jose Mourinho confirmed that Michael Carrick will captain Manchester United and start the match. Whilst Carrick will come off “alone”.

Mourinho said: “I play some players that didn’t play today. I play Romero. I play Daley Blind. I play Eric Bailly. I play Rashford. I play Martial. I play Mata. I have every player apart from Fellaini and Lukaku available. I don’t go to the young players.”
