Conte’s man management scares Arturo Vidal

Arturo Vidal admits he would like to extend his contract at Bayern Munich amid Chelsea transfer speculation.

The Chilean’s future at the Allianz Arena has been called into question recently with a deal for Schalke star Leon Goretzka tied up for the summer transfer window.

Vidal’s current deal in Munich expires in 2019 and reports had indicated in January that the Blues had made a £33million opening offer for the midfielder with Antonio Conte hoping to add a midfielder.

However, the 30-year-old now looks set to remain at Bayern as long as the club wants him.

“I play in this team for a reason, and I’m certainly one of the world’s best in my position for a reason,” Vidal told Sport1.

“I do not think about a change, I feel really good here.

“Of course I would like to extend. This is an option and my children are very happy here.”

When asked about his form this season, he added: “I don’t know if I’ve been this good here before.

“It’s clear I feel very good, especially physically, and I have no problems with injuries, which helps me.”
