Chelsea fullback Emerson Palmieri has hinted at tension with manager Maurizio Sarri.
The Daily Star says Emerson was expected to take part in the Europa League win at PAOK, but the Brazil-born star was not included in the squad and did not even travel to Thessaloniki.
The 24-year-old had suffered with a fever from the Italy camp, however he had recovered from that and there was a suggestion that Emerson had been struggling with an injury.
However, the defender has rebuked that claim on Twitter after saying that he is not injured and could play.
And as if to suggest that there could more beneath the surface, Emerson took the tweet down quickly.
He said on the social media site: “I’m fine, I am not injured… Good win today boys, Come on Chelsea!!”
